OK so lets all say we are not buying as it stands at the moment, lets see if they change there mind on a small percentage of business that we represent and the amount that will be done on this model else where, bit like David vs Goliath me thinks, we could have some influence on the out come.

I only just read through this thread and agree with JR and Joshie. If anyone at Audi IS reading these threads then maybe it's time for you to listen up: In my own case in the last three years I've spent close to £100,000 on two consecutive RS4s and I'm itching to hand you another £50,000 (or more) for a new one. But you won't be getting another bean of my hard-earned cash for an unlimited-production-run-souped-up-A4/S4. Especially if I'm fobbed off with a paddlsh*te gearbox with no manual option.
But if it's a wide bodied, max-ed horses, manual gearbox limited edition...? I'd pay a premium to RS6 money. And I don't think I'm alone. As these threads show.

I think it's important to involve Audi UK in the process because they need to be passive at the very least. Ideally we should have their support because - and with respect to this forum as an entity - Audi UK surely have more influence over Audi AG than we do ?

I work for Audi here in Brazil, but don´t have any notice which engine the RS 4 will have. But certainly agree with you that the car would make a huge sucess if it´s done "the european way" and not "the American way"
I will try to get the contact of quattro developers. Maybe they listen to us little bit.

The Car will be bi-turbo 4.2 liters.with tiptronic by the hand and maybe a manual transmission.
. It will be faster than the RS 4 (B5)and RS 6 [img]images/graemlins/jump_clap.gif[/img].
The torque will be amazing.But hold your horses,the car is due to show up in the end of 2005 [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

I disagree with the rumours at the moment.

Its all in the air (NA or Turbo who knows for sure)

Only Quattro GmBH will know the best cos they have the most influence over Audi UK.
My opinion is a 4.2 V8 for definate with either lambo technology or the good old turbo chargers. Personally I prefer turbos as to NA.
We can't tell yet guys no matter who you ask, its still being tested at Nurenburg in Germany, I just think that we can only ask with hope as to how they should spec it.

Persoanlly.
4.2 v8 or 3.0 v6 not bothered (aslong as I get those twin turbo's)
Good Fuel economy
Limited Numbers in Right hand drive
More styling & Less weight (Avant Style)
More refinement inside (Recaros, the standard RS instruments and toys)
Something alot better than the B5 RS4 which is hard to beat but it can be done with development.

RS6== USA
RS4== EU

B5 RS4== Is a EU car
Current RS6 is a USA car

B6 ==RS4 More likely to be UK car
New RS6== New USA muscle

Thats the way i think it works anyway, if i am wrong then ok.

Uwe from Quattro said that they start setting up production lines at Quattro this year, and Product would start early 2005, numbers were not discussed but he did say that it would go to the US.
So numbers will be big to cope with demand.
