Latest views on Brake Pad options
Re: Latest views on Brake Pad options
Thanks all, have ordered a set of MX72 from Japan. None in stock uk currently.
Also, one set of MX72 fronts does both calipers, so price difference wasnt as bad as predicted.
Looking forward to trying them, reviews are all very good. Disc life, low dust, good cold and hot performance, seem to tick all boxes.
Will feedback my review once fitted.

MX72 pads arrived a couple of weeks ago, not fitted them yet. I did get a bill from FEDEX for import duty @ £89, worth bearing in mind.
Look forward to seeing what they can do.

Re: Latest views on Brake Pad options
shame about the import tax .. although look forward to hearing how them perform too.
I ended up purchasing the uprated Brembo Racing HP2 Brake Pads for the Fronts and Rears... having heard good things about them.
We'll see how they perform once I get the RS back on the road.. will update the other thread on here

Re: Latest views on Brake Pad options
Any updates on how the Endless pads are performing?
Looking at upgrading front discs to Brembos in new year and need new front and rear pads.
Getting conflicting things on websites with the Ferodo DS2500 saying that the rears (FCP1655H) don't fit the B7/8EC saloon but I see a few guys here have said they run them no problem? Can anyone shed some light on that?
So just trying to price up and decide now between the Endless and the Ferodos.

Re: Latest views on Brake Pad options
I run the Ferodo DS2500 rears (FCP1655H) and fronts (FCP1664H) without any issues at all. They are a phenomenal pad, very little dust, excellent performance. A little bit of squeal at low speeds but nothing major. My RS is solely a weekend/fast road car so I couldn't care less about the odd bit of squeal but even if it was a daily the squeal isn't enough to bother me, it's very minimal.Zyox wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 10:31 amAny updates on how the Endless pads are performing?

I have found over the years with performance pads that you either get loads of dust, or some squeal - vary rarely do you get a performance pad that doesn't do either.
In summary, highly recommend the DS2500's. I've used them on other cars too and they have always been impressive. They aren't cheap though, you need 2 boxes for the fronts. For context I paid £300 total for fronts and £130 total for rears.
Re: Latest views on Brake Pad options
That's perfect thanks so much for the insight. I basically needed to check the FCP1655H do indeed fit the rear OEM callipers so that's great.JRC1 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 10:45 amI run the Ferodo DS2500 rears (FCP1655H) and fronts (FCP1664H) without any issues at all. Leaving a cart sit on auto-doc until I see them at a good price as thankfully don't need to do these until summer 2025.
