Perhaps a manual B8 A4 Quattro saloon to start with, V8 engine, upgraded chassis/drivetrain etc, and flared panels!

Someone already did that! Albeit the car was an S4 but the body was completely RS4. Was in the US and they completed it 18 months ago. Car was rear ended and is now being repaired. Believe me, its something ive thought about already.

Aside from this build, i have another that im doing concurrently - so cant really entertain anymore at the moment. Perhaps in the new year...

That's interesting - happen to have a link to more info?

B8 S4 base makes more sense, had it in my mind it was only available as auto.

I wanted to do a B8 S4 widebody converson and then later an S6 widebody, but the problem I found was that neither of them looked as good as I expected them too. Not sure if it was the colours they picked, white isn't the best colour to show off the B8 curves and mocha latte or whatever it is, is just wrong. I actually prefer the C7 avant over that mocha S6 widebody and I never thought I'd prefer the avant over the saloon. I was hoping he'd respray the mocha one to give a better idea of whether it works or not.

It just depends on how its done at the of the day.
Wouldnt an S6 widebody be an RS6?

Yes, but the B5 widebodies are not called RS4s so I used the same naming for these. I think and he calls it an RS S6. I would have gone for S6 R. Doesn't have an RS6 engine though (although a modified S6 engine is pretty much the same thing anyway).

I'm not doubting how well they did the conversions, it's probsbly just how I would have done it, just not what I was hoping for. Like I say, they probably would both look a lot better in different colours. I love the B5 widebodies though.

Kudos to you for finding those.

Thats still more B7 than B6; thats definitely not the look im going for.

With mine if you look at it, she definitely looks like a B6 albeit with the B7 RS4 Mirrors, Side skirts and of course wide arches.

The car is still in the oven so will take more photos next week once we start to reassemble it. I guess that will help more.

BTW is there a way to upload multiple photos at once rather than 1 by 1???

Also anyone that has any insight into the solar sunroof would be greatly appreciated.

Alas for photos you will need a host you can upload to then 9 times out of 10 they will provide a link to the images you select to post.

I am still very keen to do a b8 saloon widebody, I feel with more aggressive wheel fitment etc
it would improve the look of the one done, but kudos to them for building the first.

My mate own the s6 widebody also awesome but I agree with Mike a better colour could have been chosen, maybe the newer merlin pearlescent would have looked good.

I also agree with Mike for me the b5 widebody just works the best and I do prefer the look slighty
than the avant, maybe I'm biased

Good luck with the b6 certainly one I would never thought having doing lol
