yes 2k rpm with a non res drones a lot! you either have to go resonated or learn to drive in a higher gear to avoid it.

Be aware that the rev band where it drones is much larger in an Avant (because of the longer interior - right back to the rear bumper - acoustic resonances get excited at lower frequencies)- the drone is annoying from around 1200-2400rpm, which is the rev range I use when driving in town so it made the non-res totally unusable for me.
