I'd start at £22k and walk away at £24k, £25k would be absolute top dollar and it would need to be a total minter with no questions at all about it.

Agree with what's been said about Porsche dealers, they add £2k-£5k to the price - and some idiots pay it :bash:

That is a nonsense price.

I will sell you mine, which is probably a better vehicle, with full history for much less than that.
(unless you have to have Daytona, that is)

Calling just one dealership won't get you the full picture unless every service was carried out by that particular outlet.

Whilst there is a centralised Audi system it does not hold all information, mainly just re-call work. You need to find out all the dealers the vehicle has visited from the stamps in the book/associated paperwork and then call them all individually to find out what work has been done. Have your wits about you as some advisors will water down the info as the majority of their customers will have little mechanical knowledge, some advisors haven't a clue themselves either so be prepared.

Recently I called a service department to trace service history and they said the vehicle had a suspension arm replaced, duly jotting this down I listened to the rest of the work. I then decided to quiz the suspension arm aspect a little further as I was expecting some DRC work to have been done on the vehicle. The advisor went on to say, "oh yes it was quite a big bill with some other parts" which he went onto list as basically a full DRC replacement.

Evening Gents,
It has been a pain in the ass trying to call around to get info regarding the car in question. In some cases i would say it would have been easier to get blood from a stone.

So millage is confirmed and there has been no issues of DRC, oil cooler & aux water rad. The coils have all been replaced due to some faults. New pads up front at the last service 6k ago. HPI check is good. No outstanding finance, no registered damage, theft etc.

Managed to get the price dropped from 27995 to 25000. Think its a good enough deal or still paying over the odds?

Just not a fan of the Avus silver plus i am looking for something with lower mileage. I know the mileage doesn't bother others but it is one of my requirements .

It's listed as £26,995 on their website? Anyway 25k is now top money, above that was just silly money for that spec of car.

Also, confirm that it actually has adaptive lights as this was a cost option on post facelifed cars - check the sticker inside the front cover on the SH book.

8Q5 - Adaptive Xenons
8Q3 - Normal Xenons

I'd also budget for an oil cooler at some point, the pipes are going to be real ugly and could fail anytime.

A saloon admittedly, but with Adaptives and full auto dimming, sensing lights and wipers , 3K less on the clock, SS+ suspension, front and rear heated seats, full Audi history, new tyres, discs and pads all round, 4 owners and mint paint and interior I was £1.5k less than that.

The dealer being Porsche will always bump the cost expectancy somewhat...

Like Sam says, check the spec codes well. The Nav does not necessarily mean 'dimming mirror/sensing lights and wipers' and Adaptive on post 2007/facelift was £325 extra and the Auto-dimming rear view mirror, with light and rain sensors and coming-home function(headlights remain on for a fixed period after key is removed from ignition) was £200...

Adaptive Xenons were a cost option from the very first deliveries (I ordered my Avant the day that Camberley Audi got the go-ahead to place orders for Avants).
