So reading between the lines then you've been informed 5k for a set of discs and pads is quite normal wear and tear

Whoever said that the discs only last 5k miles is talking out of somewhere that the sun doesn't shine.

Your all puffs, first set at 27k and second set just gone on @ 51k,you do realize there shot when you can feel a small 1mm lip on em? I've driven ashes car and it's deffo not pad deposition that Ive experienced now n again on mine, there definatly warped,it's clearly got them stumped as to the cause but to hear that 3k out a set of discs n pads is within the realms of normal as part of the diagnosis is a tad lower than you would expect in both disc life and quality of fault diagnosis.Imo they've been very good regarding goodwill for a car well out of warranty but.............it's reasonable to expect more than a few k from new discs and pads or at least a valid plausible technical explanation of another issues causing it!

:audibash: 68k Fronts & Backs. Both sets need replacing quite soon, my opinion as it wasn't flagged at the last service at 67k by Audi main stealer. :audibash:

I just went through the paperwork and my fronts were actually replaced at 33k but this set is still going at 93k - I can't find any record of the backs being done, surely they can't last that long? Obv ots now time to replace them all
