Just found this after test driving an RS5 last week. Could not agree more with the comments by Noyajet, apart from the comment on rear seat head room - I am 5'11" and could not get comfy at all, with leg room a squeeze if the driver is anything over 5'8".
The exhaust note is decidedly muted over my RS4, but the tech, audio and that gearbox is sublime.
RS5, not for me, but B8 RS4 once values come down a bit might be on the cards.

+1 I had the same feeling when I jumped back in the RS4.I just didn't trust it to go as quickly as my b7 on my favourite roads...no good to me to part with wedge to but go backwards in what I get..nooo thanks.
