how do you justify charging £500 for a set of logo mats

by making them limited production

But Audi stopped production of the RS4 mats over 2 years ago, so given that they now are getting NO income from the sale of RS4 mats it makes perfect sense (to me at least) to get some licencing income from a reputable mat manufacturer.

Agreed; I would even pay some more than what the 'My Car Mats' were originally priced at to give Audi some licensing revenue.

Just FYI my understanding is that the logo badges were bought from Audi directly by mycarmats with full disclosure.

I suspect it didn't help by me highlighting the product on a high profile RS web site tbh :(

That's even more laughable if correct. Audi sell the badges with full disclosure.... WTF did they think they were going to do with them at the time! Then find out and given them a bollocking!

What a joke. :audibash:

Maybe, somehow I suspect that's not the case though; doesn't make any sense if it was.

Anyhow I agree there should be an Audi-endorsed aftermarket solution. Heck, I bought a set of MyCarMats myself so I'm not having a go, I just believe the brand owner should be compensated. If that was the case in this instance then no foul, I'm with the rest of you.

Had an in depth conversation with the owner of the company, prior to using them, discussing the scenario that has evolved. He was quite clear on how he was operating.

Yep, I'd be after some for sure, however I'm not even sure you can still get OEM ones anymore.

I have a set of those and for the money they are very good. The logos are stitched on rather than embroidered on though. I have a much more expensive set (embroidered) but they lasted a month or 2 before wearing through. I've never worn through any mats before this, ever! The cheaper eBay ones I had in for a year with no wear at all.
