...only problem is you can't see them from the front so just need the wife to be my chauffeur!

Very good work TT. Are you doing the rear bench in quilt stitch as well?

…onto the less glamorous jobs so thought I'd better get the brake fluid changed as it was overdue. Used my faithful Gunson Easybleed with a space saver for the air pressure so as not to mess-up my tyre pressures. Used Pentosin Dot 4 LV (recommended by ArtherPE on Sonny's brake thread) which meets all the Audi specs, got 5 litres of the stuff for £23 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pentosin-DOT- ... 2ebbcf9523

There was no difference in colour between the new/old fluid so used plenty of fluid (probably 2 litres) just to make sure the system was thoroughly flushed. Nice easy job.

Very nice.

Keep meaning to get one of those easy bleed systems.

Do you get someone to pump the brake pedal Sonny? If so the Easybleed is a doddle (and a one man job), you just need to make sure the fluid bottle is kept topped-up. For £15 it's a no-brainer.

Thought the engine was looking a bit grubby and letting the side down...

...so decided to remove a few bits and give it a good clean.

Whilst the coils were out to give better access to clean the cam covers I decided to check & clean the plugs, they were pretty black and I doubt they had ever been out, so it was a nice surprise when I took it out for a spin afterwards to find the engine felt much sharper and more responsive (although I do find that clean cars feel quicker...)

Im fully aware of this system, I ordered one last week. I have 2 other brake bleeders systems that are a PITA two man job or you need a pneumatic air line.
