Leaking Shock - no longer replaceable?

Post by OPOGTS » Wed Feb 19, 2025 6:46 pm

Hi all

Got a dreaded leaking offside rear shock absorber picked up during an MOT today....... the garage have said that Audi stopped making these in April last year and there's no patent stock available anywhere either, so currently struggling for a fix!

Has anyone had the same problem recently, or aware of alternative fix? I'd quite like to keep the DRC system but maybe that's not possible anymore......?

Cheers
Rich

I remember seeing something about DRC shocks being repaired, think it may have been a wheeler dealers or something. Give it a google search

What version of shocks do you have? SS or SS+?

Thanks - they seem to be out of stock too.

I have the standard setup. The garage hopefully have some sourced from Audi Tradition but they are going to check the DRC pipes for corrosion before I make the call.

I think if the pipes are bad I might try the CRS Konis as I don’t want a firmer or lower ride!

Have you read their website? Of course it says that they're "out of stock" - but as far as I can tell, they will repair your own shocks if you send them in.
