So from the very first time I put fuel in my car I kept the receipt. I'm not sure why really. I think because this was my first "big boy car" so to speak. First time in my life I was able to realistically fork up the cash for something like an RS4. I knew it was going to be a pricey one to run so I maybe that's why.
I've kept a full spread sheet of how much money I've spent on fuel throughout my entire ownership and logged it on a spread sheet. This is done over somewhere between 25-30k miles, from Jan 2019 when I bought it to Feb of 2024. One thing I didn't do however is keep track of how many miles I covered each year. I should have but I didn't.
The car is now fully mothballed in a container. Battery out, wheels pumped up and under a very light plastic cover (like the ones you see in body shops). I'll check on it every now and then but it's unlikely to see the light of day for a long long time. (by the by, any tips you can give me on preserving it when it's locked away I'm all ears. I've done what I know but always open to suggestions)
Anyway, here's a screen shot of my spread sheet. All prices are in €

Shame you didn’t track the mileage, would have been interesting to see the long term MPG.
I’m 1 month and 1k miles into ownership and have had to disable MPG from the trip computer menu to help keep me sane !!

I've always had mine showing 'miles until empty'. It doesn't change too much, and having instantaneous fuel consumption showing discourages you from giving the engine proper use.

So I can't give an exact figure but I know the exact mileage when I bought the car as I took pic of it as I drove it out away. I just can't remember what it is now as it's all locked away but my estimates are about 21mpg.

Your MOT history will detail how many miles a year you've done.
