RS4 Front Discs

Post by mikep99 » Wed Jan 24, 2024 1:35 pm

Hi All,

I'm looking at changing my front discs in a month or 2.
Has anybody used Reyland recently? If so, what's been your experience with them?
I know they've been discussed previously but that was a good few years ago.

Otherwise, the OE Brembos seem to be a good price on Autodoc, anybody used them recently? Taxes to the UK etc...

Many thanks
Mike

Hi,

I had a set of rears from Reyland a couple of years ago and everything went well, the quality was great. There was a bit of a lead time but they came early and their communication was quick, I'd use them again for sure.

I used Autodoc for the fronts, they were also fine. I didn't pay any additional Tax.

Hope that helps.

Reyland is a no brainer. I upgraded fronts and rears to their 380mm front/360mm rear setups and couldn't be happier. Coupled with DS2500 pads, the car feels like it stops in half the time compared with the OE disc/pad setup. Worth noting that they mention DS2500 pads on their website as a precaution as some people coupled these pads with the j hook disc style and didn't follow the wear in guidelines and suffered uneven wear. However, as long as you break in correctly you'll have no issues. Mine have worn perfectly evenly over the past year. J hook is worst for cooling though, so I would go either straight grooved or curved grooved.

Also, super reasonably priced when you consider the huge upgrade. I think they're probably similar or even cheaper than OEM replacements from Audi.

I purchased just under a year ago. Lead time was a fair few weeks iirc but they kept me updated throughout.

Thanks for the input chaps.
I'll look to get a set of 2nd hand bells and go with the standard size rotors I think.
I'd rather get them all buttoned up before swapping them to minimise any unknowns.
