Hi,
I'm attempting to remove the main radio nav unit using 4 keys. The keys removed the CD player but I'm having issues with the main unit.
All 4 keys go and I can feel the springs pushing but there is no click and they keys aren't locked. None of the keys are locking.
I brought a set off of amazon, which aren't the best quality but wondering if this is down to the unit being removed multiple times and issues with the spring clips?
I'll probably try and get a better quality set of keys but are there any tips for getting these units out? It feels like I could break something pretty easily!
Many thanks

Re: Radio removal issue
Are you trying to remove the full size RNSE unit?
With the screen 'open' exposing the SD Car slots, put the keys into each corner, and gently wobble/pull the unit from the screen to see if it will come free. Lesser quality keys can just fall out when pulled initially if they are a few mm off.
Dont pull too hard or you may damage the unit, but it should start to move quite easily.
If not, source some more keys from a reputable source.

Re: Radio removal issue
Yes the full-size unit.
I think they keys are the issue, I've ordered another set.
Thanks for the reply.
Ps. Pro tip - eject all of your CDs before you remove the CD player!

Good luck. If the new keys don't work, I can send you mine.

Thanks appreciate it. They turned up today so I'll see how I get on.

I ordered a new set of keys from https://www.audipartsdirect.co.uk/
Audi Radio Release Tool - 8E0051530
Worked a treat, guess the lesson is to buy good quality keys rather than cheap eBay options.
I've just installed a Dension GWP1AC1 setup and managed to flatten my battery in the process. Also can only connect to it as a headset (no Bluetooth audio), hopefully get that sorted.
