He has a big forehead, doesn't he? I like him already.

Ok, place your bets - Iam taking my 37k mile RS4 to a dealer tomorrow, I have said on the phone that I will give them my order and deposit for the new RS4 Avant there and then, on the proviso that they buy my car now. He seemed very ameniable to the idea of course, but we'll see.

EVERY time I take a car to a dealer to PX, no matter how low a figure I prepare myself for, they always go one better and depress me even more. My guess is 22k.

Have done Broadspeed before and had no reply, so have done it again.

I have already attracted a discount - still working on it further

Does anyone have an email address for the new man at Audi - Kevin's old one just bounced back

No problem getting a good discount on non-VOR service parts

Most Audi dealers are arrogant S**ts, its just painful delaing with them

...and Paul, at 50k miles per annum I haven't done the maths, its not wise, I would just frighten myself!!! Having said that, as Tomson will verify, my old RS4 ran 152,000 in 3 years and never missed a beat (except 20 wheels)

Oh, and you end up having a service about every 6 weeks and tyres are never ending

Paul, just worked it out - its a tank (60L) every 2 days, if driven on average mileage of 136 per day at 20mpg (I know if you boot it you get less, but the old one did 23mpg ave, as it does loads of motorway stuff)

I just got a price of £46k OTR with a healthy dose of options. That was based on may S4 as deposit and 20k miles a year.

..I started this tread, and the answer is...Almost.

Broadspeed offered initially a good price, then when I phoned them, they reviewed it. It went to 5% discount, so I put in the pre-order and went to Singapore for a week.

When I got back, I heard the hype from Top Gear, and so did all Audi Dealers. Broadspeed said to go to an Audi dealer direct, as now they were unable to offer anything.

Bottom line, is I got a bit of a deal, and 10% off all service costs for life of the car. Not great, but hey.

Just watched the recording of TG, and I am please that I placed the order, with a guarantee that its in the first delivery batch, projectted end March/April, which is good for me.

That's about it, except to say, I can't wait to collect her. The Aga must go.

They should do - they looked after the B5 for 3 years! Although they are all new staff there these days, so porbably not.

Down to about 50k a year now - bargain!

You serious? Perhaps you weren't around during the sagas of 2001.

He could not have handled it worse if he tried.
