“S” button after remap..
“S” button after remap..
Just had an APR stage 1 remap done, does anyone know if the sport button will still change the throttle response? Other than the throttle, I have no reason to use the S as I have no exhaust flaps or air bolsters.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Yes
Apr stage 1 is a generic tune.
It will optimise you air/fuel mixture giving you around 2-3% power increase. If you lucky. But won’t change throttle response so this will stay as is.

Re: “S” button after remap..
Thanks matey, the model specific data on the APR site claims that the remap optimises throttle response, so pretty much false advertising then. There is a 30 day refund period, so think I will get it removed.

Re: “S” button after remap..
Do you not notice much difference is Sport mode then?
Re: “S” button after remap..
Not had a chance to do any spirited driving yet Marc, it was rush hr traffic when I was taking it back home.
I will get out in it this morning, go round a few local B roads etc and see if there's any difference.

Enjoy!
if it’s <beep>, remove and go to MRC. Great maps!

Re: “S” button after remap..
Hehe, can't really justify a 700 mile round trip for a tune

Re: “S” button after remap..
It definately wouldn’t be the furthest their customers have travelled.
Re: “S” button after remap..
I have a REVO stage 2 map and I think that does remove the S mode from what I can tell as no difference when I press the switch

Re: “S” button after remap..
As i know things like s-mode throttle response, and ESP natively off cant be changed.

Re: “S” button after remap..
Are you saying you think s mode throttle response can't be changed? It defo can as that's the best thing about the MRC map above all others, the Sport mode makes the car feel turbo like in its response.
Re: “S” button after remap..
Having had the chance to play about with the car today, I think the difference now between S button on/off is quite obvious. To my arse dyno, I would also say it feels a wee bit more responsive at lower revs now too. I will keep it for a couple of weeks and see how it does, if it still seems fine then the map stays.
