PLEASE have a listen to this guys: https://youtu.be/eysFQACNH_s

This is the noise. I set off in first, you can hear it if you listen closely. Changing up to second it disappears then back to first and it reappears.

Difficult to hear on my iPhone but from my perspective it sounds normal fella. Get it checked out for peace of mind but from your video it doesn’t sound too alarming :beerchug:

Hey Matty,

Thanks for your input... and to everyone else.

I'll update on Saturday once it's been checked, hopefully help out anyone else with a similar noise in future.

There's a good few owners up in your area so hopefully you can get something sorted.

Do you mean the sort of pulsing sound that you can hear over the induction and exhaust?

Is it the "whine" that's got you worried?
I could hear a "clicking" too but sounded like it was on the phone or in the cabin.

...just in case it is the Whine, this is a genuinely interesting explanation!

Hi Bill - yes its a sort of pulsing whine sound. As I described previously a it like a wheel bearing.

I get the usual steady 'whine' noise. But only get the pulsing centrifugal sounding whine in first gear.

OK. I'm out in mine tomorrow morning. I'll see if it makes the same noise. :)

You sure this is not the noise of the timing chains on the engine as they are at the back near the bulkhead so you will hear them going steady in 1st
The chains are a little noisy on these engines so dont worry if you find out it to be that.
When I first got mine, I was convinced I had gearbox issues too..was just the chains though. As you say, quite noticeable in first particularly.
