Does anyone no this rs4,very indecisive man here.

Hi all,
I thought I'd pop along been a lurker for many years, last few years I've been struggling to find a car that makes me just want to start it up and drive it off, only car over had was a 2005 mustang Gt many years ago.
I've had mercedes A45 40k+ lasted 14 months it was fast but bit laggy creaky interior and broke down 3 three times so that went.
I've had that may you cars I've lost count.
Anyhow I'm currently in a range rover sport autobiography 2012 as I've never had a 4x4 so had to scratch the itch, I'll be honest it's a bloody good car so much spec it's unreal don't want for anything not bad on fuel 26mpg round town just so comfy.
I know I'm waffling,
Now the range is 28k ish and I'm selling up to spend 20k ish as I need new bathroom and other boring stuff.
So my list then began having to bare In mind my girlfriend who uses the car 70% of the time she loves the rrs and didn't mind the A45 even thoe she said it was Laggan.
So here's my list :
Audi S3 / golf R , I know what am I thinking but it's a head decision rather than heart safe,fast,and modern technology but will it make me go out for a drive I think not.
Next car was bmw 135i140 again Rwd and inline 6 better sound track and great reviews.
As above Mrs really likes the auto
Then off I popped to a local garage for nosey and seen a rs4 forsale and for ten year old car I was just wowed, I remember watching top gear on the rs4 and was wowed me then.
So I've been offered a decent part ex against this is, going for a nosey Monday or Tuesday what's anyone's opinion on this money for spec.
Does anyones other half use their rs4 and how do they find driving it in my case totally opposite car than you girlfriend has used.
Or anyone gone from a cars above to rs4 or vice versa.
So sorry to waffle on but I need something I want to just drive it's a real fight head over heart sensible or petrol head thoughts.
Anyone around warrington fancy taking me out would be great ha ha .

Two weeks ago I PXed my Mk7 Golf R for a B7 RS4. The Golf was very capable and quick but I didn't find it involving to drive; the engine was particularly bland. A very competent car but I never got excited about, or looked forward to, driving it. I've had various S/RS Audis over the years. In the short time I've had it the B7 has proved to be at least as engaging and entertaining as any of them. And I say that in spite of an as-yet unsolved suspension/axle issue that's being looked at on Tuesday.

As for the car you're looking at, I've heard good things about Blakedown. I was tempted by the black Avant they've also got for sale at the moment but it was out of my price range. And the DRC's already been ripped out which is one less thing for you to have to worry about.

Let us know what you decide.

I certainly will, feedback like that is what I'm after, going to get the Mrs to have a drive see what she thinks she's pretty hung up on auto for traffic around town how's the clutch in stop start traffic ?

My Golf was DSG and I had an RS3 before that so my left leg is a bit out of practice but I find the clutch in the RS4 smooth and very easy to modulate.

That said, the one you're looking at has got 20k more miles on it than mine so it's worth checking if it's still on the original clutch.

The B7 is Audi's finest drivers car bar the R8. I keep coming back to them, I'm always disappointed in other cars one way of another.

Had a 45AMG like yourself too.

The range would be good as a family wagon. Same as the SQ5, which I've thought about a few times. But the B7 does it all. 8.2k rpm is hard not to love!

How did you find the 45Amg ?
From all the reviews I watch or read people say the same either that or just smile or laugh out load I might get my petrol head addiction back.
The range is brillaint family run around but as their is only three of us it's a bit overkill to be honest.
And it's £10k more than a rs4.
I've had a good read so I've got a little check list of to checks

I've just bought an rs4 avant which my missus will use daily (and I use the company car vw touran!) . She only does 8k miles a year compared to my 24k so made sense. Her previous car was a 1.2 skoda fabia so quite a change. So far she has found it easy to drive ( did find the throttle really sensitive at first but got used to it after a couple of days )although she admits she'll never be brave enough to use the full performance. She did say yesterday she was getting stares from a couple of men when she was getting into it at a retail park along with the kids. Don't think they expected it to be hers lol!

The 45 is quite fun, but it's just not in the same league. It's better for quick sprints due to the turbo motor. Makes all sorts of amusing noises. I honestly think the 43's will be better than the 45's as 70% rear wheel biased.

I was in exactly the same position and sold a newer car with half the mileage to get an rs4 instead. Amazing car to drive and no regrets so far. Quiet and refined for daily usage but fun when you want it. I even find it feels special to drive at normal speeds as well.
