Wheel bolts

Post by Lenine666 » Fri Jul 28, 2017 2:37 pm

Hi peeps,

I bought myself some spacers (H&R) and they came with corresponding wheel bolt length. However, the bolts have a fixed radius as opposed to "loose" for the OEMs. My question was if they were inter-changeable or if I needed to purchase new ones with a loose radius?

Do you mean the little cups that move ? My OEM bolts definitely don't have these.

I've always used the fixed type with spacers and never had an issue. My OEM bolts had them though.

I see. Maybe what I thought was OEM was not... One of the previous owners must have done a swap...

My wheel bolts were all new from Audi as they had been over torqued at some point and they are definitely the fixed type.

Sorry, I perhaps wasn't very clear. My OEM bolts were the same as you're ie the spinning loose collar. And my aftermarket bolts with spacers have always had the fixed head but never had an issue.
