Exhaust flap issue

Post by Gary(rs4)87 » Mon Jul 10, 2017 6:05 pm

My OEM exhaust valve was closed when the car was off! I opened by my self because it was always closed! So now open but When I switch on the car flaps still open! It is possible that the issue is the vacuum? If yes what can be cause? Flaps

They will close under no vacuum normally (engine off). If your engine was off and the valves were open then they are stuck. You have now opened them manually and now they are stuck open. You may not have a vacuum problem. More likely the valves are stuck. You might be able to free them off.

These are for different exhaust sound when in sport mode correct? If so, i checked mine after reading this post, and they were both open. Should they be closed normally when the engine is off? As i always shut the car off with Sport mode ON, could it be that they stay open, and close normally when turning the car on again?
