Cheers for the diagram. At least I'll know what to get.

Tackling the clutch change on Saturday morning. Anyone that's previously changed it am I looking at a Saturday/Sunday job? Also is there any hidden bolts? I know on some vehicles you can have bolts going through the opposite way. Got the clutch, plate, slave, stainless modded pipe (cheers rob), release bearing and all internal clutch parts in the gearbox for a nice £288

Take the flywheel speed sensor out or as you pull the box off it will snap

Haha, do that without fail now, been caught out on that before. Does anyone happen to have the torque specs for pressure plate and the retaining bolts for the fork etc? Also is the slave bled normally or reverse bled? Into work for 7 tomorrow to hopefully get it blitzed. Nice selection of goodies below.

Re: Can't get gears
Are you changing the DMF?
Re: Can't get gears
Not at the moment, there was no knocking or vibrations from it so will check radial and rotational movement once I've stripped it and take it from there. I'm a mechanic anyways so it's not like I'll be paying twice to get it done, will just be my own time I'll lose out on. Intrigued to find out what has failed on it though, I'm sure it's the fork that has given way, guess I'll find out once I drive it to work and strip it.

Took about 7 hours including breaks, haha. Wasn't too bad a job as my cats had been off not long ago but 2 studs still snapped that I didn't change last time, so had to sort them. Not sure if folk normall remove the subframe but managed to work around it and leave it in place.

Great, thanks for that info. I think book is 14h I was told so nicely done.chuckrs4 wrote:Took about 7 hours including breaks, haha. Re: Can't get gears
14 hours? That must include dropping the subframe etc. Seems like alot of hassle if you were go do that because you then have to support the engine from the top with a brace and remove engine mounts etc underneath to allow the frame to drop, then trying to line it all back up.

Can't get gears
The mechanic just told me what he found the "book" time was, I trust that he likely do that in 1/2 that and is very good and likely only do what's needed. Given charges to date, he is very quick. Just asked to get a bit of a gauge to do DM flywheel, clutch kit, pressure plate, USP slave (latest generation - no pedal height issue), steel braided line, new bearings, new fork, intermediate arm and all new bolts. Thanks guys.
