MRC Mapping 0 - 60mph

Post by Matty » Wed Sep 07, 2016 11:31 am

Hi All - There's lots of numbers on the forum detailing the actual BHP power gains from the MRC Map but how does that translate into the 0 - 60mph experience. How much quicker to 60mph is a stock RS4 B7 after just an MRC Map mod?

Not a lot, I'd imagine. They do an LC and flatshift though, that'd probably help the nought to sixty sprint.
No matter where you go, there you are.

0-60 really is not a good gauge for power in my books anyways and even more so on a manual car. But as Bam says not a lot id think

Any map on a n/a engine is going to be more about drivability than out right power and performance.
As for the 0-60 times, a good launch or a bad launch would have more of a bearing on times.

This, and all of the above.

It massively increases the enjoyment of the car, but probably very little difference to 60.

Agree with Starry and MF. Just had mine mapped at MRC and I doubt the 0-60 time is much if any better, but the throttle response is much improved and the car is now much more enjoyable to drive. The power increase went from 365 to 427bhp :jump:

I'd say it improves the 0 to 100 MPH more as the big V8 gets more air in its lungs.
