Niils car is on air Sam, probably a bit higher when driven.

Would love to see how one of these air rides could handle a spirited drive. Not convinced.

As much as that linked car ticks every single one of the boxes I would want for my car looks wise - Air ride is probably one step beyond and, like Sam, not convinced it would have as good a ride when being driven spiritedly as DRC - either standard or with Lowering springs.

Any one any first hand experience on the KW adjustable springs on DRC? I'm expecting the ride to be harder - it always is with lowered springs, but as the car is driven daily it would be nice to know what to expect before going with it.

Yes, there is no more harshness with the KW kit. Used my car as a daily for years on KW and 20 wheels.

Aren't the lower springs made harder to stop the car bottoming out and ride comfort is still controlled by the dampers ie the DRC?

Thanks Mike - from what I have read so far I expected as such, but wanted to be sure.

Guess that's decision made. :nodder:

Edit: From what I have read and understood - the Spring Rate works in conjunction with the Dampers on over all ride feel. Its not one does one thing, the other does the other. Also that Standard Springs are made to be more progressively stiff as they are used, rather than having a smaller "helper" spring and Harder Main Spring that the KW kit has.

Tbh, there's seems to be so many variables when it comes to Shocks and springs that you can read for hours. And half of it I'd have no understanding of. Sometimes/ Most times I prefer the real world experience of someone that is and has been using the set up I'm looking at. If you're happy with it and use it daily that's a pretty good start for me.

Yes, others with the same kit on here have said the same too, so it's not just one person's subjectivity hopefully.

Do you (or anyone else) know if the KW adjustable spring kit for the Saloon will fit an Avant?

I've seen them have different Part Numbers, but the Avant and the Cab being the same. Just seen some come up for sale and providing they'd fit I'd jump on them. Thanks

I think the difference is due to the avant being heavier.
