Hi. I am getting a Parrot MKi9200 installed into my 2006 B7 RS4 and have read threads about ensuring it goes through the BOSE amp rather than the Parrot amp. Does anyone have details or preferably pictures of what this additional wiring harness is? Thanks in advance.
FYI - I have ordered this harness but not sure if it is what I need - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B002LYK11Q ). I assumed because it fits VW that that it would also fit Audi. But, having done some searching online I'm not 100% sure if this will do the job. It is pretty cheap so no real issue if not, but I'd like to be sure I get the right harness before the installation.
Parrot MKI9200 install - additional wiring harness?

Parrot UK have a tech support link on their website. They're pretty quick to answer so may be worth asking them too
Re: Parrot MKI9200 install - additional wiring harness?
Update and apologies for heavy HTML linkage....
I also emailed HazzyDayz who didn't have them in stock and suggested I look at this link and possibly order one of these - http://www.nexxia.co.uk/products.asp?s= ... ot%20Leads
Also rang Just Car kits, and they guy there seemed really knowledgable. They have two offerings which are:
This one means replaces the external CD player - http://www.justcarkits.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh ... tml#SID=98
This one needs the AUX-In port enabling, but keeps the external CD player - http://www.justcarkits.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh ... tml#SID=98 - I didn't think that my earlier version of RNS-E unit had an AUX IN, and I certainly can't find any evidence of a plug in the glovebox. Happy to be corrected.
I have a little more knowledge now, but am even more confused about the choices!!
Does anyone have experience with any of the above leads, or can recommend another supplier whose wiring harness is plug 'n' play? Thanks in advance.
PS: Re: External CD - It would be a bonus to keep, but I am not worried if I lose the ability to use the external CD player when this is installed.
Thanks, I did this and they were helpful. Their official cable supplier is KRAM ( http://www.kram.dk ) and the list of their compatible cables from the Excel file ( http://www.kram.dk/images/downloads/Com ... lelist.xls ) on the homepage indicated that the "85074MH - Audio2Car HiFi Soft Mute Stereo" would fit my RS4 but he wasn't 100% sure and suggested that I get it fitted at a Parrot certified installer (find them here - http://www.parrot.com/uk/cip/) rather than my VAG specialist of choice!asifg wrote:Parrot UK have a tech support link on their website. The Aux In can be enabled on both the pre-2010 and 2010+ RNS-E versions - the pre-2010 needs to be running SW0650 but the 2010+ can be running any SW version.pablos007 wrote:This one needs the AUX-In port enabling, but keeps the external CD player - http://www.justcarkits.co.uk/cgi-bin/sh ... tml#SID=98 - I didn't think that my earlier version of RNS-E unit had an AUX IN, and I certainly can't find any evidence of a plug in the glovebox. There won't be an Aux In connector as the pre-2010 SW that supported it didn't appear until after the B7 ceased production, and the 2010+ RNS-E was never made in a B6B7 A$ fitment.

Pablos - have a look here:

The owner of In Car Tec really knows his stuff and is well respected by the installers.
