RS4's and car seats.
RS4's and car seats.
After a little bit of advice, junior will soon be 6 months old and is rapidly outgrowing his rear facing car seat. I was just wondering which forward facing seats people are using? My car is a B7 avant with buckets so rear space is limited. Cheers
Re: RS4's and car seats.
I've used a number of Recaro young sports over the years or whatever they are called now. Good match for the buckets and will last till they are 11 or 12 years old.
Re: RS4's and car seats.
Yeah, recaro young sport here too.
Great seat.

Hi G4RETH, I have an 11 month old girl & after an awful lot of research we have decided that rear facing seats are definitely the way to go as they are a much much safer option for your little one in the event of an accident (proven to be 5 times safer in fact than forward facing!!!) We've opted for the "Britax Dualfix" which swivels to enable you to get your baby in & out a lot easier, plus they're suitable from newborn right up until they're 18kg so won't grow out of it for a fair while

Really good quality and our 2 year old daughter loves it. Not using the iso fixings but it never comes out of the car so not an issue.

Another shout out for Recaro here. I got it as it'll last until my boy is 12, as Mikefish has already said.

+1. Recommended for roughly up to 4 years old. We have the Joie I Anchor and I Size (I think they are called). I very nearly made the move to a C6 RS6 as the seats we were previously looking at did not fit the B7. The Joie ones do, with room to spare. We didn't chose them for that reason though, they meet the new European regs that are being introduced.RSCosworth wrote:Hi G4RETH, I have an 11 month old girl & after an awful lot of research we have decided that rear facing seats are definitely the way to go as they are a much much safer option for your little one in the event of an accident (proven to be 5 times safer in fact than forward facing!!!) +1 on this also... we have Britax in both hers and mine for the youngest and the eldest is now front facing.
Re: RS4's and car seats.
As others have said, I'd imagine at 6 months old, you'd want them rear facing for a while yet.
My 3 year old is front facing now. I'm also a fan of the recaro seats, this is a monza nova 2 seatfix (isofix)

You know it!marc1 wrote:^ any excuse to show off the plush interior.

So far so good! The little man is stamping on the seat backs all the time...all it takes is a wipe with a damp microfibre. I do take his shoes off if they're really muddy though....I think it's safe to admit that here..MikeFish wrote:How is the alcantara holding up with the kids feet on it?

Re: RS4's and car seats.
I can't take credit, the previous owner of the car had it done. 3/4 charcoal alcantara, 1/4 black leather, red stitching.denis.dasilva2 wrote:So you redo all the interior of your car w alcantera? Looks damn good
