I take comfort from the fact that the idiot above is selling. Probably to buy an m3 ;-)

Where can I find one of these 500bhp lambo v8s then? Seems like my car could use it!!

birdiemachine wrote:Good to see you back on here mate, when I was trying to track down my b7 and was reading up about them I vividly remember always reading your build thread it was quality and I always wished you lived in Northern Ireland so I could get you to work on my cars lol!

How do you find the e60? I've always wanted one but they seem to be £££ to keep? I know a rs4 isn't exactly frugal but the e60 seems particularly temperamental or is that a myth?
I never really left. I still loiter and see what up for grabs in the for sale section.

I love the M5 i have to say! Performance is on another level to the RS4. However its not a Audi!! I was spoilt with the RS4 and would have another given the choice between the 2. The interior in the Audi is such a nice place to be where the older BMW's are boring.

Its been very good to me with maintenance but it was a very well cared for car. The receipts i have for previous work is eye watering though leading into tens of thousands. Only thing i have done is tidy up the body work and put a voltage regulator on the alternator which was £100 in parts and fitted it myself. Just took it to BMW for a 70k service including plugs and all transmission oils, but had it done mates rates. Should of been £1500 retail :drink: I guess the car will only be as good as it is looked after with maintenance, if you skimp then it will cost you sooner or later.

MikeFish wrote:It's good to see you back. What car is next Ben?
Thanks, Its good to see the old faces still about. Ermmmm... its going to be something boring for the time being mainly due to bigger commitments and a temporary relocation resulting in on road parking. The M5 has already had its door dented which has convinced me that i don't want anything nice until this issue is rectified.

bam_bam wrote:He wants something that drinks the devil's fuel.
Unfortunately due to relocation and a long commute the devils fuel is on the cards for the time being. I see it more as a tank that i don't care about getting damaged for the short term.
MikeFish wrote:He's dead to me now.
Don't be like that! You know you have missed me :FIREdevil: I will be back and it will be in an Audi! I am converted and only this badge can deliver the luxury I seek :kissmyrings:

i bought this for an absolute steal!!! 8k

having just sold my c6 800bhp monster i wanted something more drivable

i did a track day on Sunday in it at cadwell park and believe it or not it drives straight. ive ordered a new quarter from audi thats going on it next week once the old quarter is out and some tension is released i will jig it out. then it will be getting stripped to become a full track slag

so interior will be available soon

personally i never touch cat cars but this was a very clean example and once the seats are sold ill have less money init that your average stripped clio

I bought my cup 182 with 84k on it for £900. Stripping it was free :P

On a serious note, well done bringing this back from the dead. The b7 rs4 is a cracking car on track and one of my favourites around the ring.

I took the rs6 to the ring loved every minute of it but the cars just to big and heavy so this was a compromise I was prepared to take for the money. Just bought a new discovery so quite like the idea of towing this up and down the country to various track days.

I run high 8's at the ring normally in the audi's (08:30 in the b7). My fastest time in the c6 (730hp) was 09:20 something - it's just a barge! Mega in a straight line but impossible on track - not even fun lol.

The b7 is where it's at. I've only done one trip in my b8 but kept it sensible as it only had 1200 miles on it - and 450 of those were getting there lol. You'll love the b7 - I did a few track days and it's mega fun!

My findings were identical Mate. Looking forward to getting it sorted out and track ready. Spoke with Doug at Mrc and gave him all the previous regs from the hpi check to see if he has any history of the car.

Wow great price on the car pal.

To help you out, to my knowledge the car had never been remapped or carbon cleaned. Whether this was done after I sold it is anyone's guess as I would say it's had 2 owners since me.

Enjoy! Look forward to seeing it out on track next year.
