I was trying to keep it short and straight to the point, but your reply was even shorter so you beat me there I give that one to you.

In all fairness the JCWF on RS4 experience warrants a write up, but its too late in the evening just now. I'll get back to you guys with a low down so stay tuned ...

bye for now :kissmyrings:

question questions and I don't know, where do I start ...

Joined rs246 following B7 avant purchase with delivery pending. A post appeared discussing exhausts here:
viewtopic.php?f=35&t=115450&p=740269&hilit=jcwf#p740269

I knew for a fact the standard mufflers would disappoint me, especially when pulling up at lights next to C63. I've done nothing in my life to deserve being embarrassed like that

From what I read milltek deliver extra 'throatiness'. I get enough throaty notes from my 993s, and I wanted something more 'tinny', and it was that which made me explore JCWF. Whats odd is that BMW M3 E46s produce 'tinny' noise, but its rather pathetic though I was sure I didn't need more throat.

Anyway, so instead taking delivery locally, I arranged drop-off to JCWF Wellingborough, where I was to see the car for the first time. Paperwork done - started her up and was not impressed - as expected. Went into a meeting with Mark, John and Michael where we discussed my requirements, the options, and then we decided on pre-cat delete and full system replacement (excl main manifold). My car was in a queue and I would receive it back some 5weeks later. That was fine as I needed to prep garage for power and carry out some roof repairs etc.

Now to the sound, How can one explain sound in words …

- at 6000-7000rpm its like machine gun fire coming out of one end and rockets out the other
- folks i didn’t know what it really meant ‘it will put a smile on your face’, but now I do. this system will literally leave YOU smiling, AND those who are with YOU. i have two daughters [12&22 despise cars] who sat in rear when i gave it the beans. when i enquired much later in the day regarding their experience, the younger one said ‘when you went fast, we both [i.e girls] looked at one another and smiled, i kid u not!
- its like music to the ears because you receive a wide variety of notes through each gear change and throughout the rev range
- today i was trailing 2015 f1Jag which sounded monotonous. i felt like Paul Hogan in Crocodile Dundee, scene where he draws a knife and sez ’Thats not a knife, THATs a knife’ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9_GlqRRs0s
- i picked up a friend seeking his opinion who’s owned C63, R32, RS3, 996 Turbo and others. He didn’t know what I knew until i gave it the beans. i looked at him, he raised his eyebrows in a gesture of total shock, turned and looked at me and smiled, and then he started laughing like a kid in playground. 46yo man.
- i took my son [23] out for ‘a spin’, big F1 fan. didn’t know what was coming. opened her up, sent him Wow’ing, smiling and then sudden burst of laughter slapping his own thighs, as if to say this is not real surely.

my friends this system on this car shouts, roars and screams. it sings different notes and can give you all the attention you could ever want if you wanted it.

forget about YouTube videos, forget about researching, if sound means everything to you like does to me, you must must hear this thing in real life. it is beyond belief and has to be the best 2.4k i’ve spent in my entire life.

on downside, it will make your w/end a joy, but I suspect everyday use will take away that feeling of ‘amazement’ each time you give it some wellie.

What a car and OMG what a sound Respect JCWeld FAB !!

This. ALL of this.

4k revs and it lets go. The sound is immense. From day one over a year ago, my JCWF system never ceases to amaze me...

It's sound is more akin to a nascar than much else at full chat...

I had a M4 follow me and at the lights, he blipped his, and then I blipped my 8 year old 4 - the wideness of his eyes said it all...
Gone but never forgotten:
2007 RS4 B7 Saloon, Metallic Silver with SS+.
LED's all round and Dectane LED tailights. KDS detail and paint. Lepsons black chrome, heavy on the silver wheels. JCWeldFab full system - valved and no pre-cats. MRC stage 2, de-flap and full carbon clean - 438PS and 489NM. HEL brake lines. H&R Spacers. Gtechniq C1 and EXO V2 coatings. 2010+ RNS-E. On the MRC dyno: http://youtu.be/y_k0VJ2--y8

the thing about this setup is, one can make the car sound remarkably civilised with light right foot.

Other cars with so called sports car sound are impotent to me now. the bar has been risen. was out in my 911 993 today with young one (girl 12) and asked her which one she preferred, she said looks of the 993, but sound of the RS4 !!
