Help! Dashboard mark from 3M pad

Help! I recently stuck a 3M Go Pro mount on the dash. I've since bought a mount for the windscreen but when I took off the mount, its left behind a mark, darker than the dash itself. I tried a bit of Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber care but its not touched it. Googled it and have read various suggestions - vinegar, 3m adhesive remover, WD40, Goo Gone, Isopropyl Alcohol etc, but I'm afraid to try anything else in case it makes it worse and leaves me with a faded patch. You can't feel any residue so I assume the glue in the pad has reacted with the plastic. The pad was only on the dash for about a week

Any suggestions?

Oh dear. For glue residue, the best product by far and away is "Sticky Stuff Remover". It is absolutely brilliant on all sorts of sticky things, but, if you think the plastic of the dashboard is discoloured by a chemical reaction to the glue, then even this stuff won't work.

Is it possible that the pad has literally lifted off any surface residue from years of dash wipes, interior cleaner or other applied products.... leaving an immaculate patch of as new vinyl?
Im not suggesting your dash was dirty but i considered mine to be immaculate until i went over it with some armour all matt dash surface cleaner and a nail brush....
I was amazed how much was ingrained into the surface!

Maybe worth a shot, and you might find it will all go as dark as the patch youve got there

Hello mate,
I dont have a link or a stockist in the UK, i bought mine in Ireland at a filling station...
Its in a bottle with a press button spray cap type thing... dark blue colour and is the 'matte finish'.

You could try on amazon or if youre prepared to wait, ill grab one for you when im over there in a couple of weeks.
Its good gear, but autoglym might well do a matte finish dash cleaner....
