Decoke in Scotland

Post by hyper » Mon May 04, 2015 10:16 pm

Alright all.

I looking to get my rs4 decoked and wondered if there was any recommend garages in Scotland that do it.

If not where would be the best place to go.

I've heard revolution motor store can carry it out.

Cheers

Autohous in Edingburgh do a carbon clean, i believe DaytonaRs4 had work done there & was very happy.

Do you know if these guys are experienced with the common DRC issues? My Rear shock seems to be leaking.

Star Performance in Fife did my one a year or so ago.

They look after several RS4's and have maintained my one for the last 4 years so plenty of experience there.

+1 for Autohaus in Edinburgh.

I took my car to them for a carbon clean and manifold deflap last year and I was happy with their work. They seem like a decent bunch of fellas.

Im taking my B7 Rs4 to Owen Ferry in Paisley for some work and discussion on de-coke. Owen has recently undertaken this work and discussed in detail what he would do over phone.

I was refering to the original post about a decoke.
Star will be able to tell you where the leak is coming from but I don't think they have the equipment to pressurise the system again after they have fixed it.

Perth Audi are the best dealer around my way for fixing DRC by all accounts.

I don't think any independents have the DRC repressurisation tool in Scotland. I looked into this before fitting KW V3 and the Audi recharge price was £250 IIRC over and above replacing shocks etc.

I think unit 20 and MRC are the only indy's with the correct tool for the job.

I'll give them all a call and go from there.

Do any of them do rolling road run n that to check if the car is down on power etc.

Star performance have a rolling road according to their website. If they can do a carbon clean then you are sorted.
