I now run S7 20" ET29 with 4mm spacers, 235 30 20 Michelin Pilot SS, lowered on KW V3 63cm front 64cm rear (ground to top of wheel arch) and adjustable top arms. Also had my wheel arches flattened at my mates body shop. I have no rubbing now.

This wasn't the case originally.
I used to run 5mm spacers, 255 30 20 Vreds, rolled arches, 64cm front 65cm rear with standard arms, I had rubbing and inner tyre wear. It did my head in. :drink:

May the lowered be with you my son.

Look at the stretch on those!
Looks like you sprayed the tyres on!

They make the RS4 style rims in 9.5 & 10 x 20, but with odd offsets.

So is ET29 with a 4mm spacer ET25 or ET33?

I'm trying to work t the perfect offset on 10x20s, with 255 tyres

I had the same wheels as Covkiller and had a lot of rubbing, I'd like to stick to 255 tyres hence my reason to go to 10j wide wheels

It is ET33 as you add 4mm more offset from the face of the wheel

I was looking at C6 RS6 Wheels, 9x20, Et38 and would have gone for 265/30 tyres but in the end decided 19's suit the car best.

It also depends on the physical form / structure of the wheels. I would say the very best way is to be in touch with a member with the same wheels and tyres you wish to fit and the ride height and camber.

Adding spacers pushes the wheels further out reducing the offset, so it would be ET25

Higher the ET, the further the wheels sit inwards

That question can be taken either way - hence why two people have given different answers lol

If you have a spacer it LOWERS the ET, so an "ET29 with a 4mm spacer" could mean an ET33 wheel fitted to a car as well as a 4mm spacer or it could mean whats the equivalent offset an ET29 wheel if I fitted a 4mm spacer, which would be ET25. lol

Hence why your question could be interpreted either way.

Nils you shouldn't have had any rubbing with 9x20 ET29 and 255 tyres unless you were really low. Mine are ET26 and don't really rub (or maybe even not at all).

Have you played with camber settings to avoid rubbing? You can dial in a bit of negative camber to give you that mm or 2 clearance without getting loads of tyre wear.
