MAF Sensor Audi RS4 B7

Post by KIQUE » Mon Mar 02, 2015 9:26 am

Hi,

Could you please tell if you know some reliability problems on the MAF Sensor Audi RS4 B7 ?
I have some light timing retardation sometimes and MRC suggests me to change it ?

Ref Audi OEM : 077133471M
Ref Bosh : 0280218187

The part seems difficult to buy out of the official Audi Network.

Thanks for your feedback.

Changed mine as well a few weeks back as preventative maintenance. Can't hurt after all those years.

I have a spare unused/unopened OEM MAF in Belgium as I ended up buying two due to circumstances. Don't mind selling it 20 percent below dealer price just FYI.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.

First step, take it out and clean with proper MAF cleaner.

I used to have searching revs at idle. Sorted after a good soaking.
06 Phantom Black Saloon:
DONE: Water Meth Injection, Carbon clean at 64k, CAI, Gutted Precats, Non-res x-pipe, H&R 8mm spacers, H&R springs
^ GONE

I had the same until I was on my way to the AMD rolling road day when it went kaput and became almost in drivable. A new one foxed the problem and stopped the hunting revs.
