Rear of the t piece comes off easily. The front is 'wedged' under the boss and is stuck to the padded rim underneath so needs a bit of force to remove. Start at the bottom, pulling away from the rim, and then pull down to break the 'seal' from under the boss.

:assflash:

While i appriciate the sarcastic link, Google was the first place i checked, after contacting Audi.

Being a forum, i was hoping someone could help, being new to Audi's, i havent found the right places to look yet.

Try Ebay, there were two sellers selling just the badges for the steering wheel, one was the right fit the other wasn't!
this was a while ago now and can't remember which was which or even if you can still get them.
hope that helps :-)

I just ordered a new badge as the red paint wears off after time, it was £27(official VW part) from local indie, it looks different to the above though. There's no washers, there's some lugs on the back of the badge so I assume it just pushes in. I'll be dammed if I can work out how to remove the rear of the silver bit of the bottom of steering wheel though, unscrewed the four torn screws but the thing is still fixed on solid.

I don't wanna try and prise the badge off the front as if the design is like the above, the washes will be left loose inside the steering wheel.
