4.99.....

I can't imagine the RS4 won't be able to better that by .5.......

I guess we'll just see in 2.5 months....or so.....

either way, can't wait till that baby arrives at my dealer !! :D

sssshhh!!!

Not sure if you've already worked this out, but it will be a N/A engine - not turbo. Source is not so much a person, but a component in the engine I am aware of that confirms this.

However as you guys have said many times before, its better to wait for the official release

Dealer showed me the letter from Audi, as I did not want to believe him. 4.2 V8, 420bhp and "sporty body work", black on white.

Now, do you really think that's turbo?

Quattro Quaterly arrived today in my mailbox.
That is the magazine for the Audi Club of No. America.
They say that the car, which is testing DAILY on the Ring, will make anywhere from 425-450hp with an FSI 4.2 V8.

But it also said it won't start production of the cars until summer of 05, which probably wouldn't have them here until Winter(late 05/early06) as a 2006 model.
As we all know, it'll debut in Geneva in March.

There are two spots open for the Audi driving school at Catalunya, which will be the first drives of the new RS4 on the famous track.
It's in August and I'm really tempted to drop the cash and do it.....

I'm just looking forward to this car coming to the States....

Nothing about price there, but my dealer (fleet mgr) talked with someone at Audi in Germany last week.(he forwarded me the email)
He told me a decent guess would be around 70K US. About 15K above the S4 price tag.

Maybe they'll do a big V8 for the Americans and do a twin turbo V6 for us enthusiasts :) But then, maybe not :(

With their toytown speed limit of 50mph, the Americans really don't need the RS4 and so should have no influence over its design. Give them the S8 and badge it RS4.

US Americans aren't enthusiasts ?????? Spare me....
Who drives the speed limit anyway ?

Take it to the track or autoX it.
That makes it MORE than worth it's while.....and puts it to it's limits for sure...

just because we don't have the Autobahn or the Ring, doesn't mean we don't like 'Proper' autos....

Although the land of hope and glory has a somewhat interesting motoring history, I think the above statements are a little harsh.

It's refreshing to see the odd Audi on the road in the US. Keep flying the flag boys

I'm as proud to be an American as most are, but in terms of autos, well that's another issue.
The RS4 will be my 5th VAG car in my 16 years of driving.
(GTI, A4, S4, Toureg, RS4)
The Audi flag will fly loooong and hard in my garage....and on the So Cal roadways....

Now, it's off to work now.
I'll get her up to 120 on the way, to not let any 'enthusiasts' down.... :-)
