Re: Any ex owners browsing this forum wish they had never so
regretted selling mine, done the Porsche itch, considered buying a 993 C4S 3 weeks ago, but with one child and another on the way, and having had just about every car I could think of trying I am back. got my self a one owner, 50k mileage example, that's mint albeit for a very few minor points - best decision I have made for a long while - and best of all got to keep my 78 porker as well, and even the Mrs is happy and approves.

My B7 was taken away from me 18 months ago when I hit a tree. Had an E92 M3 as there was nothing similar I wanted (C63 AMG) in budget. Got to be honest, the only thing I really miss about the B7 now is Quattro, particularly with another cold winter looming. Having said that I had no issues whatsoever in the snow last year in the Beemer.
The E92 has a much more modern feel and all the gadgets to go with it. The BMW feels quicker in the dry to me and the DCT no doubt helps with that. Still love the look of the B7 on the road and I don't get quite the same amount of admiring glances now.
I was thinking of getting another one for this winter but I've decided to stick to the dark for now side and then change next year. Tested the RS5, V8 R8 and GTR a couple of months ago and I think my minds made up now...
What I would say is if I hadn't written mine off I'm pretty sure I'd still be in it now with a massive grin on my face. Great car.

I have a tinge of regret every now and then
it subsides when I crank the C63 over
the RS4 is a very special machine
