Changing seats

Post by harding » Thu Nov 21, 2013 8:42 pm

There are a few RS4's in Sweden with the regular seats for sale. And (probably) because of the regular seats, the price is low and they have been out for weeks, even months. I scanned ebay.de and found there is a few bucket seats for sale at a reasonable price (€ 3.100). Even including the price of the new seats, i will still save a few bucks on buying one without the bucket seats.
My question is now, could there be any problems changing seats? I have already counted in not having the inflatable bolster function available. But overall? Will it be plug-n-play? Or is there any electrical problems that may occur?
Let me know. All information is good information! :kissmyrings:

Could you put some links? especially new RS4 seat for that money I would like to buy..

The seats swap go "plug & play" and even the side bolsters ("S") can be coded with vcds.

Thanks for the info! But how are the bolsters inflated? By electric wires? Something tells me there would be a wire missing when having the regular seats?

I have changed mine from comfort to buckets and it's a straight swap, but they will not have the auto inflate with the S button, even after changing the coding with VCDS and DIS setting. Few have tried with no success, I think there is a missing module. Having said that, it's a bit gimmicky (have it on a S-Class Mercedes) and I think once you have it set up to your position manually, it's fine as it is.

The linked seats are used and not in a very good condition. The complete set is from RS4 Cabrio.

I found a new pair but the price is +-6000e.
