Ignore anyone who tries to tell YOU what to do with YOUR seats - it's your car so you can do what YOU want.

The debate comfort vs. buckets has gone on here for nearly 8 years, and the conclusion is always the same - have the seats that work for you.

There's no question that the buckets provide far superior support under spirited driving. The comfort seats permit so much movement (sliding around) on the twisties that you immediately think 'oh no, what have I done'. If you can live with the fact that you are going to have to learn how to brace yourself in the comfort seats when driving at 7 tenth or above, then the much better wear characteristics of the comforts over the buckets ultimately provide the more satisfying ownership prospect. The bucket seat bolsters take a lot of abuse on access / egress, even if you try to be as careful as possible and can spoil the interior look of an otherwise beautifully finished car. The comforts don't suffer from this affliction and IMO always age more gracefully.

Great compromise is Recaros trimmed in race cloth or alcantara - easier to get in and out of, electric everything, and no slippy-slider business in the twisties.

But otherwise, as PD says - choose seats based on what works for you and ignore everyone else.
