Full set of Michelin PS3 fitted yesterday, very meaty looking compared to the Pzeros, certainly a lot more err Rim protection even in std 255 size.
Not driven out of town as yet, but already feel a lot less susceptible to tram-line on a highly cambered road on the way home.

Got them fitted for a grand total of £708 ... bargain & certainly not repeatable at that price

Maybe because Pirelli consistently over-sell their product, and consistently fail to deliver! F1 and SBK are a good shop window for how poor they are :(
parlee-king wrote:wonder why Audi chose them as the OE fit?
Pirelli offered them to Audi at a lesser cost than either Mich or Conti????
parlee-king wrote:Anyway local garage can do a sensible deal on Ps3 so they will be on fairly soon, the current worn PZeros tramline dreadfully and on one particular island half way to work can understeer quite alarmingly at speeds the GTI wouldn't blink at.
maybe get the alignment checked again, but the front shocks & a hub carrier were replaced last Dec under warranty, so I'm hoping its fairly true. tyres have even wear
You'd be better with the Pilot Super Sports (which, as others have stated, are the correct replacement for the PS2). The PS3s are now considered a replacement for the now obsolete Mich Exalto - more suited to lighter-weight hot hatches, rather than heavyweight GT-esque bruisers such as the RS4.
