It must be a spoof ad, if you are a true enthusiast that looks after their car with no expense spared (Optimax 98 oct :-)) surely you wouldn't go to bloody Kwikfit!!!! I wouldn't let those muppets near anything with wheels....

I rang him up - he didn't know if the car had auto lights or not - "there are a couple of buttons near the steering wheel" I questioned him on the 5 owners and the low mileage and was told 'people buy these cars as a weekend toy and then move on after 6 months to something else' He is selling as 'his wife is pregnant' and 'I am buying land rover discovery' I asked him about the shocks 'one was replaced a couple of months ago - he said 'I was shocked when I was told it was going to be £600' and the brakes 'yes the rear disks will need replacing in about 3 or 4 thousand miles - but these will only be £400' - I asked about other factory extras and he really didn't know any of them or if the car had them. Finally the price - I said I thought it was way overpriced and even quoted similar adverts from traders cheaper than his - he said well it has special features like a sunroof and a blind in the back to stop 'animals' and that it would be detailed at no expense for £300 before the sale!! Conclusion : Genuine advert, genuine guy who really has not a clue about RS4's. sports cars or the market in general - I just think he is really mis-informed/deluded! I reckon its worth £26k tops only because of the mileage [and that's a "Kev - Guestimate!" :rocker:]

.. And a true petrol head will know its 99 RON not 98 ;)

God i just re-read that advert, I will be very surprised if he sells it. Sounds like its been written by a kid who is doing work experience as a salesman!

Don't feel sorry for him - come on - surely no one writes an advert such as that without actually thinking about the target audience!

Shame on all you boy racing black optics types I say. You leave him alone, I like the sound of his 30k for my 21,000 miler. I shall copy and past his advert to the letter, replacing "Phantom Black metallic" with Daytona Grey, what with it being the best colour and all.

I believe the old Optimax was 98 RON, the now V-Power is 99 RON, but that's splitting hairs.... :bigblink:

I remember on here back in 2007 Black optics was frowned upon, apparently makes the car look like a Focus ST :bash:

Absolutely. I think the silver is too close to chrome which is only one step away from having a wooden interior. Each to their own.
