i have just bought a RS4 B7

Post by anissuba » Tue Jun 25, 2013 9:29 am

Hi everyone i have just recently bought a rs4 daytona grey with black optics, luggage pack, nav, flat bottom & buckets seats that came from audi. As some of you are aware this car did belong to Sonny - allot of mechanical upgrades the car has been through and i plan to do the following mods to the exterior.

1. Privacy Glass ( very Light shade- Johnson's Film )
2. Front & Rear Lights Tint ( 6% Fronts ) Just purchased the pre cut out film from ECS Tuning)
3. Front Grill Audi Rings, Sprayed in black.

The car sits perfect for my liking so all that will be left is the A Roads :kissmyrings:

Treated the leather with Gliptone Leather care. Left a very pleasant leather smell.

Lets me know what your thoughts are on the exterior mods i plan to do.

Horses for courses and all that.. If doing tints, go from the B-pillar back. Just so your aware it was not an option for the Avant.

Chrome rings... Is it or miss, personally i think the chrome rings makes the front end.

Dont do the lights lol

Ive ordered the front n rear light tint film from ecs in america. (Pre cut out) If they don't look nice il remove them.

As of the rings a friend has them painted, makes his front end aggressive looking.

If all look <beep> then i can always remove them.

See the thing is, Sonny has done all the mods, not left much for me. Need to add a bit of my own touch!

I prefer the drak rings look myself, but agree, once you by a modded car its hard not to want to put your own touches on it!

Yeah, that's possibly the *only* drawback with buying a well optimised forum car.

I am in agreement with the other lads. Blacked out rings do lean towards stealth but they also looked like someone nicked the silver ones off the car to me. But as we keep saying on here its the changes you make that make the car your own and as you have said you can always change it if you dont like it.

Do the tints (light) but not the rest.

If you want mods, as sonny said, ceramics...or 2010+ RNSE, or change the wheels to 20" RS 6 or B8 V Spokes etc.

I dont rate the 2010 nav just looks like some cheap after market job, touch screen is not what i was expecting, old one was a lot better imo.

Mate has one fitted in his 2.0t B7
