Joining the club
Well my search is over and I have just picked up the new addition
Just going to stick some tape over the fuel gauge!
Briefly: Miltek sports cats and cat back valved resonated with stage 2, sports + suspension, ceramics, sachs clutch. Nav, heated buckets, cruise, sunroof, silver roof lining, aluminium trim. It looks a touch low at the back as I still have the original downpipes and cats in the boot and it also came with a complete second set of wheels with winter tyres on. I drove a few dogs and this was a peach.Just going to stick some tape over the fuel gauge!

Re: Joining the club
Welcome. nice to have more blue ones around.
I remember that car coming up on PH and thought that if I hadn't just found mine, then I certainly would've gone to take a look at it. Lovely spec, does it have rear ceramic brakes because I couldn't tell from the original advert?

Re: Joining the club
Hi Sam. It is the same car and no it doesn't have rear ceramics. The guy I bought it from is still in touch with the guy before him and it was he who had all the work done. He wouldn't evn let Audi wash the car after a service in case they mucked up the paint.

Re: Joining the club
Ceramics were only a factory option on the front, and AFAIK there are no aftermarket rear ceramic kits either.jonicox wrote:no it doesn't have rear ceramics.

Re: Joining the club
Welcome - that is a great looking car. I spotted it on PH and if I'd been ready to buy now I'd have been interested.
Looks like a really high spec car, and it sounds like its been really well looked after too.
In fact seeing that just makes me want to get one soon!
Richard
PS oh yeah, having read the club rules FON !!!

Hi Jonicox,
This is my old RS4 - a fantastic car that I have got loads of brilliant memories of. I hope that it makes you smile as much as it did me.
If you want any more information on the car feel free to PM me.
The owner before me is also a member on here - look up Red_Rocket.
Cheers,
Paul.

Re: Joining the club
All. Thanks for the welcomes and I did think that such a specced and looked after car could have been a owned by a member here. The chap I bought it from, Simon, said he was still in touch with the chap he got it from and I think it's good to see that passing on of info and cars that haven't been ragged. The paint still has no swirls (that I can see), only a couple of paint chips on the bonnet and has just nudged over 50k miles, having had it's last service at 47k
I've done about 300 miles only this week, but am looking for reasons to drive somewhere all the time! I've got over myself on the fuel already (I have a Mercedes W124 320te as well and "economy" is about the same) and am loving the practicality, drivability and the knowledge that at any time I can get a shove in the kidneys.
Ceramic pads need replacing in 2-3000 miles, so I'll sort that soon, but want to go somewhere other than Bristol Audi, without having to travel all the way to Brackley.
