Avant water in plastic hat surround

Hi has anyone else with an Avant encountered any water dripping out of the plastic surround edges when lifting up their hatch. Seems to occur mainly after a really heavy down pour? Is this likely to be the rubber seal that's failed,as it looks in good condition?

Can anyone help on this one? I've had the boot tray out and there's nothing actually getting in the boot. Today once again when I lifted the hatch you could hear quite a large volume of water glug out or the top of the hatch where the plastic surround meets the metal of the boot?

Thanks for the link. I'd done loads of searching but just found the water in the boot/round the battery problem. I'll check the hatch lights seals as this does seem the likely problem. Thanks
