Get her to put a post it note on the steering wheel reminding you that the discs are coated.
Otherwise you WILL forget and it'll scare the crap out of you (voe)

Really 4 weeks is not a long time, you'll have more damage leaving it a week at the airport than 4 in your garage at home.

Don't start unless you are driving it. If you are starting it you have to let it warm up fully.
It's not worth the bother.

<sigh>
More condensation in the fuel tank stories. Seriously - there simply isn't the weather here and the capacity for consendation in the tank to cause a problem.
First time I stored a car for 6 months or so it was built to take 98 ron fuel only and didn't have a knock sensor so it was very important. I followed the advice of a full tank and when started it up it tripped all the misfire systems and the car ran awful. Changed lots to no effect and then resorted to draining the fuel tank and filling with fresh fuel - all was immediately fine.
Ever since then did some more research and no I store with small amount of fuel and when bringing out of hibernation always the first thing to do is top up with fresh fuel and never had any problems.
Longest I had to store a car was two years and it was fine (ironically the same car that I first had issues with).

I leave mine for 6 weeks at at time and sometimes longer. In a garage with handbrake off. Even then I don't use it all the time I'm home and its always fine.

I like to wash it and dry it before I put it away but never heard of the WD40 thing before. Will try that next time. Thanks Ads. But what about the inside of the discs?

Never had a problem with the insides - although I generally spray mine with the wheel off.
