Car gang jailed for stealing luxury cars and stripping them for parts to be sold across Europe on eBay
Mercedes, Audi and Land Rover cars among those stolen and stripped down for £600,000 spare parts racket
But the gang were caught when a prospective buyer responded to an advert for 'genuine Audi RS4 Recaro interior bucket seats' for sale on eBay. He visited a salvage centre in Wythenshawe, Manchester to buy them, but became 'suspicious' and tipped off police who discovered further bases in Blackburn and Leicester.

chop the thieving gits hands off!. he won’t be taking another car in a hurry. Speaking of stealing... I've had 2 encounters in the last 7 months. First was 2 lads breaking into an Audi A6 i had. About 2 in the morning I’m woken by the missus shouting "Dale they've broke into your car" at which point i jumped out of bed still half asleep and looked out the bedroom window to see two guys running away from the car with my rucksack and a work bag (Stupid to leave it in the car i know) as id just come back from 6 weeks abroad. I pulled on some joggers and went flying downstairs.. grabbed the keys and shot off down the street after em. When i got down the end of the road i just caught sight of the one pulling my bag disappear round the corner of the next street.. shot round the corner and jumped out the car. The one with the bag dropped it and shot over a fence. guy with the rucksack started walking towards me still with the rucksack on his back and which point i clocked him square in the nose.. and had a bit of a rumble with him. He calmed down and I’m stood in the middle of the road at 2 in the morning with no shoes on.. no shirt with this eastern European bloke in a head lock with no phone!! lol Gave him a few for good measure and told him to F**k off.
About 6 weeks later.. me and the missus are in the kitchen having a glass of Vino or two. Gets to half 12am and we decided to go to bed. i walk past the dining room and see the interior light on in her mondeo, just about to open my mouth and say you've left the light on in your car when i see a head pop up from the passenger side at first i though it was one of the kids then realized it was some thieving wan*er again!!! Slowly opened the front door and ran round.. just as i got there he saw me and started backing out as he was laying across the front seats i caught him just as he stood up, slammed him up against the car with the driver’s door at which point he started to scream saying i was breaking his leg.. lol. After a few donkeys to the back of his head he started to reach for his jacket pocket so i started belting him again all the time keeping him pinned with the car door.. buy this time he's crying cause im shouting the missus to get me a knife so i can cut the thieving Bastar*s head off. lmao! Rozzers came and as soon as he saw the guy he said "Jamie Jamie Jamie you've picked the wrong car tonight" Cops took him over to the patrol car and started to empty his pockets on thr roof.. some cash, a few cards that didn’t belong to him and 6 Hypodermic Needles!! 2 of which were full of something 4 empty but luckily they all had caps on. Turns out to have been smack.. the wan*er was probably trying to get one out his pocket to stab me with.
Apologies if that lot bored you just thought I’d share it. Always good when the bas*ards get a hiding

I hack one run in years ago
I had a 330d sport when they first came out, mine was a 2001 y reg and boy for a diesel back then it really shifted.
Then Jenson Button got caught speeding in one and they gained legend status and everybody wanted a 330d.
The car was a few weeks old and sat on the drive and back then I never thought anything of it, but as normal I went to bed and threw my keys on the table in the hallway.
2 am I wake up to a strange noise coming from downstairs so I get up bollock naked and peer down the stairs and to my disbelief I see an almighty long stick poking though my letterbox down the hallway with a hook or magnet on it trying to get my car keys
WTF I crept down the stairs next to the door ( even a well trained Ninja would have been proud of me apart from the naked bit) and whispered through the letter box WTF are you doing D&&&&head - cue mass panic from the other side of the door as they both scarpered, damn I could had broke his arm it was that far through the letter box - missed opportunity.
Phoned the cops but couldn't find anyone so went to bed.
Got up next day and checked my car out on the drive for any damage only to find my Mrs car keys lying on the floor.
The Ba@@@rds had fished her keys out but didn't want her new Astra they just wanted the BMW
Learnt my lesson now no keys left in hall and a big dog provides plenty of early warning.

We have friends from Bolton who said that was pretty common, the long stick trick. Not just for car keys though back then...it was for house keys to get in easy and quietly and rob the place(because the doors locked with keys from the inside when you were home, and you'd just toss the keys on a hall table or the stairs etc.)
