Rs4 warning light

Post by Montymole » Wed Sep 05, 2012 8:18 pm

So I have had my rs4 for just over 3weeks...on a short 6 mile journey tonight a yellow warning light popped up on the DIS screen.

It looks like brake disk warning light at first, so I stopped the car turned it off picked up my mate and turned it on and pressed check.... All then seemed to be ok... Looking at the pictures it looks like it was the oil pressure symbol...

I have tried afew times and can't seem to replicate the issue, I have checked the oil level and it seems to be about half way between the plastic measure on the dip stick...

The car is due for a service and covered 22k miles in total

Does it sound like just the oil level ?

Could be oil level sensor - is yellow but an oil can.
The only one that looks like a brake disc (kinda) would be the tyre pressure warning

There was definitely no oil can symbol.... Tyre pressure warning....hmm, I will check all the tyre pressures first thing.

There must be an online hand book for the b7 somewhere, I never got a handbook with my car

Thanks for the tip
