OK
put the ECS ones in

when turned on, bulb out warning!
but I had only put them in loosely to test them and one had popped out, phew
pooped it in, warning went out
tightened the screws down, checked it 1/2 dozen times, all is good....and very bright

just got all the interior LED's in, easy, just patience and time, 18 of them iirc

since they draw less power picked up 0.001 HP
won't help though since they are only on when doors are open, etc. :D
cleaned all the lens with a plastic cleaner/polish along the way

they are bright, and look good, white/blue as opposed to yellowish
silly, but I like them

I got interior kits for sale with some nice custom bulbs for the boot, footwell, glove and puddles and red door warning lights.

here is some info:
Having tried several different bulbs out in this unit i found that the light spread of an "off the shelf led" was not as consistent as the stock bulb, so i set out to design a bulb that would fit in the unit where all the bulbs face down and out where they should be. i got my thinking cap on and produced a sketch of what I thought would work, then cut out bits of card and some broken led’s and stuck it altogether and found that I had just designed and made a bulb, Great I thought, but now I had to get the design’s over to the factory to see if they could make the bulb to my spec with the correct canbus specs, at 1st I was told a canbus bulb of this type could not be done, I then sent back an email saying do whatever you can to get some canbus into it so no errors come up or that it would work as I have had problems trying to get a bulb to work in the boot of an A3 as I am sure a lot of you have.

Pictures were sent back and forth and this bulb was formed….

the kit is £59 posted for uk and NI. it wont include rear footwell lights if you have them.

I will also have an offer on ice white bulbs for the number plates, these are error and are white as getting an LED to work in the B7's without DIS is hard.

Thanks

Hey Trups,

I'm interested in some, will send you a message about them. I was really pleased with your kits you supplied for my last 3 cars and the xenons for my van. Good and genuine seller.

Trups, if they are for the interior then there is no need for them to be error free as there are no alarms for interior bulb failures.

I agree, still looking for an error free LED DRL. The bulb Trups was working on above would fit the sidelights though.

Mike they wont show up up the DIS.

in VCDS if they aint canbus they will, also if they are not canbus they stay slightly lit.

DRL's im working on, i am waiting on the address for a member so i can post him them to test so i can get it confirmed for you guys.

The halogen ice white number plates are going to have to wait as the factory send me the wrong type.
