The only disappointment is that the stereo knobs are too short, but from the driver’s seat you can't tell

Collected the driver's seat from the trimmers today, really impressed with the results. As well as having the worn leather & foam repaired to the side bolsters and stretched leather replaced to the base of the seat I thought I would have the perforated panels replaced with quilted panels like the RS3 buckets I've seen which are an option I think. This quilted trim is starting to appear on all the latest Audis like the S6/7 etc so it brings the interior bang up to date.

Very impressed with the repair job to the foam under the side bolsters...

Next step will be to blend the old/new leather into each other. Ideally I would like to make the shiny older leather matt again but in reality I think I may have to use some beeswax based leather balsam on the new to make it shiny to match, shame really but it will all become shiny again in time anyway. I have some NAF leather soft soap for saddles which gives a good matt finish so will give that a try first. Any other ideas?

Thanks Paul, Thomas Kelly trimmers in Edinburgh http://thomaskellycartrimmers.co.uk, he's a real oldschool trimmer, used him once before on a gaiter for an Alfa so was a little nervous but I made sure nothing was left to chance as I made templates for the quilted parts to make sure the squares were the right size etc

At the moment I am leaving the back seats as they are, they are in perfect condition so no repairs needed, will wait until the fronts are done and refitted then see if they look out of place. To be honest the rears are kind of generic as the original buckets had perforated leather and the rears don't. Would be interested to see what the rears are like in the RS3 that has the quilted trim.
