Drc issues- car booked in
Re: Drc issues- car booked in
Hi ads just checked the steering bolt, it does not seem to move, I've just been round block and it definetly seems like suspension related. Tyne side Audi have phoned today and said that there is no goodwill available but is going to try and see what he can do on customer care? Not sure what this means really as this sounds like it will cost me. I don't really want to go down the route of kw as always like my cars standard really.
Who is it I need to contact at Audi uk? Maybe I will have more look there??
Anyone have any advice on progressing further?

Mine did too (sound like suspension).
Hmm - if it is making a clink at rest might be worth see if you can isolate it whilst somebody moving it.
There are the other two bolts on the rack too that can get loose but they are harder I find.
Also track rod ends can wear and clunk

Re: Drc issues- car booked in
They are all the same franchise Teesside, Wearside, Newcastle & Tyneside, your next nearest with decent rep is Harrogate Audi.brett123 wrote:If they don't come through tomorrow which dealer is best to try then? I'm up in the north east, Darlington
Odd on the goodwill front, they are usually decent about this but they have changed hands from Colebroom & Burgess to another group so maybe the policy of 'goodwill' has changed
Re: Drc issues- car booked in
Im still hoping they come back to me about getting it through with customer care but am not holding my breath, it's just annoying I did report it when it was within the goodwill I was told it was fine, I've always had BMW before the rs4 and to be honest Audi so far have been a bit of a let down.

Re: Drc issues- car booked in
Well just an update on the drc Audi has said there is no goodwill available but through Tyneside Audi and Audi uk they will pay half to replace the front shockers. I've been quoted £530 all in which I don't think is bad because the car is outside the 5 years. Cannot fault Tyneside Audi for pulling through. Car will be booked in next month. I know it's still a lot but it would of been at least double to replace for kw's or similar, a big thanks to tyneside Audi!!

Thats not a bad result considering that you are out of the 5 years.

I agree you've done OK there Brett, if i get a result like that I would be pleased - mine goes in for a service this Thursday at Bexley Audi, I've mentioned the possible DRC problems, they are going to do an inspection and go from there - I did ask the chap if he is aware of the well documented DRC problems and he said no not really

Re: Drc issues- car booked in
They said the same to me, just keep on to them
Re: Drc issues- car booked in
Well my car has gone in, the chap I spoke to mentioned about the 5 year/75000 mile good will gesture for the DRC, I am well under with the miles at 43k but the car is 6 years old. They were going to call Audi and see where I stood with regards to that, they mentioned that it sometimes works that there is a part contribition by myself towards the parts, I said that if they could do that for me then provided its not too expensive still then thats the route i would most likely take. My back up plan is to scrap the DRC and go with coilovers either pss9 or kw v3 supplied and fitted by MRC coming in at around £1700 ish.

Mine is more or less the same, just keep on to them mine is a 06 car, I think if it was within th 5 years they would of changed foc but because its out by nearly a year they offered50/50. Cannot complain really.

My "57" AVANT had all four shock absorbers replaced FOC by Yeovil Audi a few weeks ago at 40k miles.
Fokker had both fronts replaced FOC again by Yeovil Audi after Cardiff Audi could find "no fault"
Best to go and press your case - politely.

Well I collected my car from Bexley Audi on Friday and I couldnt be happier, both front shocks replaced along with 2 accumalators (I think thats what they called them) Free of charge, there were some other items they did free of charge too, all i had to do was pay for the labour, the car feels so much better too, to say I am pleased with my result is an understatement. All I can say is well done Bexley Audi
