255 is the standard / recommended / delivered size (delete as appropriate)

Quite a few run 275s - mainly for looks and slightly better wheel protection AFAIK

The OE tyre size on 19" wheels is 255/35 x 19 XL, but 275/30 x 19 XL fits and has a very similar rolling radius, plus some tyres like the Goodyear F1 have better rim protection in the 275/30 size.
