ah thats great i did see it but didnt see you did the maf or the intake hose, great idea, i have some of that tape in silver that plumbers use to lag pipework, i have some of this on the side of the airbox but not on show, it might look like a roll of tin foil has exploded under my engine bay

I had the Gruppe M fitted today and I'm impressed.

Pros:
Sounds amazing under load (not that noticeable if not).
Looks amazing (shame the carbon fibre weave is not the same as the RS4's engine cover).
Slightly better throttle response.
Slight increase in power and torque.

Cons:
High cost.
Need re-map to take advantage of the better air flow.
Lose power if the engine is worked hard (heat problem as already mentioned), not so much of a problem for road use.

if you want a bit of extra intake noise (not as good as the gruppe m ) just unclip the snorkel from the airbox and then you have a nice open hole right into the airbox , you may lose a few bhp on a warm day + underbonnet heatsoak but it does sound alot meatier and when you finished "having fun scaring the saxos, corsas etc , clip it back in
not jealous at all of the gruppe m :assflash:
Phantom black saloon ,PES M112 Supercharged 520ps/595nm K&N filter, 100 cell milltek cats, res valved milltek system. 8 and 10mm H&R spacers.H&R roll bars, "smoke chrome " alloy refurb. JHM Quickshifter, Bilstein B16 coilovers , uprated diff mount ,50/50 devils own WM kit so 1.4 litres/min in intake approx 10% more power and torque
1/4 mile 12.01 secs 123.5mph

I've just noticed that my car is on MRC's Facebook (28th November 2011)

http://www.facebook.com/mrctuning?ref=ts

That was before the Gruppe M and there are a few other mods in the pipeline.
