This time I was driving to work and realised that my indicators weren't working, then realised my wipers wouldn't work...in fact nothing on the steering column works. hmmmm, open the window, thay don't work, mirrors don't work, nothing on the door works.
Great.
Took it down for diagnostic reading and they replace an electrics module, half of the things start to work again. So they decide to replace another module (forgive my ignorance on the particular parts, I will elaborate when I get the car back!) and this part is on back order from Audi in Germany for 7-10 working days. Not only that, it comes part coded, so that's another 7-10 working days until the part is ready to be fitted....
Oh and it needs a big service, an MoT, new tyres, tax and insurance.
Expensive month me thinks!!!

They're having a laugh - the coding takes at most 5 minutes.Porky wrote:Not only that, it comes part coded, so that's another 7-10 working days until the part is ready to be fitted....

That's what I thought. Trouble is the part is coming in to Audi first and then goes on to The Phirm. That's the quickest they can prise it from the stealer's hands....PetrolDave wrote:They're having a laugh - the coding takes at most 5 minutes.Porky wrote:Not only that, it comes part coded, so that's another 7-10 working days until the part is ready to be fitted....
