The menu is so extensive that I cannot figure out an easy way to set up a grid system displaying the options so that I can inform the hotel of our requirements. Unless anyone has a better idea, why don't we just add on our menu choice to our listing in the attendees and I'll cobble together a list for the hotel nearer the date.

I presume its the 12pm-2.30pm Sunday lunch menu?

Yes because I am assuming that we're trying to meet at lunch time. The hotel has a function at 16.00 and would prefer us out of the way by then.

Ive not paid any attention to this meet to be honest,but ive just realized its in Malton Yeh? Thats not far from me im located in cherry burton near beverley,and better still if work pattern stays as it is i will be off that weekend!! Hope youve got them cats fitted by then 22B?

Am tempted by this meet – have never been to one before & it sounds like if I only ever go to one this should be it!

I’m down in Newbury so am looking at between 470 & 560 mile round trip depending on which route I take…which is my dilemma.

From what I’ve read from you regular “meeters” the convoy up to the meet is not to be missed. If I take the shortest route up to Malton (A34, M40, M1) then I’m looking at 237 miles each way (4 hrs 15 mins according to Google maps), but might be on my own which’ll be boring as hell...

But if I try to join the convoy heading up the A1(M)…probably at Peterborough… then it only adds another 9 miles each way but will take approx 50 mins each way longer (so I’d be looking at a 10 hour round trip!)...but it would be much better fun

Or, if I wanted to go the whole hog & join those of you who are meeting at South Mimms, that makes it a 278 mile trip each way…and I hate the M4/M25 so not too keen on that idea

So, I reckon my best bet is to go for option 2 & join the convoy up the A1(M)…maybe at Peterborough services if you guys from the south were happy to stop there?

Unless anyone else is heading up from the Midlands & I could join a mini-convoy with them & head up the M1? Or is anyone else travelling up from south/west of Newbury so we could form our own mini-convoy…?

Sevy, IIRC I think some were talking about meeting near Grantham (just up the road from Peterborough) and then joining the main South Mimms convoy? If you have a look at earlier pages it was Steve_C IIRC who was talking about this.
